I don't think they were rationing her. They just didn't want to sell out of their last carton. Other customers might come in wanting some. Why sell 3 cartons to one customer when others might want some? Thry know their customers snd what they want, they are just trying to accommodate everyone. IMO.

Why would they outlaw ciggys and alcohol? When things first shut down they made sure liquor stores stayed open, so there would NOT be riots and looting.

Spruce aren't all that common here. You'd have to go to a fancy tree lot to find one. We went to Home Depot! Choices are noble fir or Douglas fir.

Is that a bad thing? If I go through checkout and I could not get any tp bc the shelf was empty, and the guy in front of me had 20 mega-packs, I would not be happy. They are trying to make sure everybody can get what they need. If everybody was reasonable and only got what they needed, there would be no need for rationing. But people are scared, and greedy, and opportunistic. So they ration.

I planted quite a few of them. Pines seem to be the go to here.
