Howdy all! Sorry for all the aches and pains. I've got a few of my own, but got a lot done today.

Twist's card came today. Thank you!

In honor of the new chickens' one week anniversary, I put up a fence so they could have some outside time.

At first they didn't notice the open pop door.

But with a little encouragement from me, they finally got the idea.

and enjoyed some tasty grass.

It was fine until a couple of them figured the grass was greener on my side.
Bird brains!

That's a 6' fence. I helped them get back down on the proper side. Got to fatten them up so they can't fly so easily.

As long as I wasn't up near their coop, they were content to stay behind the fence. They really do like people.

One reason low back pain, other reason I am so cold. No way I am putting ice on it.

I have put ice on pain and gotten under an electric blanket. The ice really helps, especially in 15- minute incerments with heating pad in between. Forces circulation, which reduces inflammation.

Well, I got some good news today. The bill for my well repair was $250.00 less than I expected. I was grinning ear to ear.

Gotta love that when it happens.

You should try again. Your situation has changed bc you've had unexpected expenses. One of the questions is, How much money do you have? If you only have 13c to your name, you should qualify. It's not all about income.

T'was 3 weeks before Christmas,
And all through the town,
People wore masks,
That covered their frown.
The frown had begun
Way back in the Spring,
When a global pandemic
Changed everything.
They called it corona,
But unlike the beer,
It didn’t bring good times,
It didn’t bring cheer.
Airplanes were grounded,
Travel was banned.
Borders were closed
Across air, sea and land.
As the world entered lockdown
To flatten the curve,
The economy halted,
And folks lost their nerve.
From March to July
We rode the first wave,
People stayed home,
They tried to behave.
When summer emerged
The lockdown was lifted.
But away from caution,
Many folks drifted.
Now it’s December
And cases are spiking,
Wave two has arrived,
Much to our disliking.
It’s true that this year
Has had sadness a plenty,
We’ll never forget
The year 2020.
And just ‘round the corner -
The holiday season,
But why be merry?
Is there even one reason?
To decorate the house
And put up the tree,
Who will see it,
No one but me.
But outside my window
The snow gently falls,
And I think to myself,
Let’s deck the halls!
So, I gather the ribbon,
The garland and bows,
As I play those old carols,
My happiness grows.
Christmas is not canceled
And neither is hope.
If we lean on each other,
I know we can cope

We are supposed to get 1-3 inches of snow tonight/tomorrow. Poor Tom was in tears w/ his back tonight.
