Granny's gone and done it again

Scooter and I have one thing in common. We can't tell where noises are coming from. It was a parakeet chewing chewing the bark off his perch. Opposite direction from where I thought it was coming from!
I was reading a thread earlier from @muddy75 about her aviary and remember me wondering if it could be done ? I cant find the thread to finish reading but you might enjoy it too.

theres 2 sides to the christmas tree debate. I am a tree hugger so you know where I stand BUT tree farmers have to live too and mostly they use pines because they are fast growing. They replant what they take down and they plant plenty so if no one bought them that land would go to corn or some other way of them making a living and we would lose the benefits the trees give us.

I have a thing about killing trees and then throwing them in the gutter after Christmas. Sad thing to see those beautiful trees just thrown in the gutter. Pine trees are sacred.
I seen a lady take a pine cone and half bury it sideways and a new tree sprouted. I am gonna try that

Most of them are grown on tree farms, so it's more like having a bouquet of cut flowers. They last for a while and more are grown in their place. I love having a tree in the house, but I don't want more pines growing anywhere near with the fire danger, so no live trees for me. My dad paid a lot of money to have a former potted pine removed. It was huge, but too close to the house and dangerous.

Trees shouldn't be in the gutter. That's just crappy of people.

Don't they put them beside the road so they can be picked up for disposal? Where else would they put them? I mean, in the cities.

The Scouts will pick them up and take them for composting for a $5 donation. Ours go in the green waste bin, except for the trunk which goes on the wood pile.
