H2o, if all your chicks/eggs are the same size I would leave the first chicks in the bator for at least 24 hrs. They arent going to hurt the later ones.

My hair was like everybody else's, for 20 years or more it would only get to shoulder length and was always broken on the ends. I started doing that and for the last 10 years it grew like magic, got to waist length and kept on going. The first time it got down to my fingerstips I donated 13" and in 3 years it was down to my fingertips again. And my hair is really thick.
