Ouch on hitting your head, you probably got whiplash when you did. I know a pain in the neck is terrible. I would rather have pain any other place than the neck. Hope you feel better soon. You need to take an Epson salt bath, to make you feel better.

If you got a microwave, a hand towel, and a large ziplock bag, as well as a pillow case, you can make a heating pad. Take a hand towel, soak it with water. Wring out the water, and put it in the ziplock bag. DO NOT Seal it yet. Put in Microwave for just under a minute. Carefully seal the bag, and slip it into the pillow case. Wrap that around your neck.

I learned that from sinus migraines. Only thing that would give me relief.
