Do you have to soak it or boil it or anything? Manzanita is good for parakeet perches too. Not toxic when they chew it.

Oh so you cut it for your birds hu? Humph.. No, the reason why its so popular is because its a heavy wood that dont need soaking. It sinks right away. I dont know about that lil branch but the pieces I bought sunk.
