I don't know about in Robert's worker's case, but I know that for personal care workers round here...it's very little education/formal training required...and they're getting paid peanuts to do it.It doesn't help after the sun goes down unless you have some sort of battery system to run your lights and fridge all night. Elon Musk, who started Tesla car company and SpaceX Rockets, has developed a decent battery and shared the know how with everyone. If you wanted one of those batteries big enough to run your household, it only costs about $60,000. (Neighbor got one.) The technology will get better and cheaper eventually, but Pro's right, we can't get ahead of ourselves and go all renewable energy before we're ready.
Yes, but they should. They are getting paid to provide services to people with special needs, but not providing the necessary training to the people who are doing the work. I suppose it's better than no service at all, but seems pretty close to being a scam to me.
