Granny's gone and done it again

It doesn't help after the sun goes down unless you have some sort of battery system to run your lights and fridge all night. Elon Musk, who started Tesla car company and SpaceX Rockets, has developed a decent battery and shared the know how with everyone. If you wanted one of those batteries big enough to run your household, it only costs about $60,000. (Neighbor got one.) The technology will get better and cheaper eventually, but Pro's right, we can't get ahead of ourselves and go all renewable energy before we're ready.

Yes, but they should. They are getting paid to provide services to people with special needs, but not providing the necessary training to the people who are doing the work. I suppose it's better than no service at all, but seems pretty close to being a scam to me.
I don't know about in Robert's worker's case, but I know that for personal care workers round here...it's very little education/formal training required...and they're getting paid peanuts to do it.

Alright, bedtime yall. sweet dreams

I've had propane stove, I've had electric stoves, I've had natural gas furnace (which, ok still wouldn't go with no power but you could probably tweak something or use a lower powered generator to power it vs a fully electric one) and I've had an electric hvac....we're not on a well but some neighbors are. If you had an electric car you couldnt go anywhere with no power on the grid. The windmills could be fortified to still provide power in the cold snaps I'm sure - but that was an extra cost the power companies/windmill operators didn't deem the risk strong enough for the extra expense. Oops.

It's funny, how the chicken groups on facebook have been inundated by all the "it's cold will my chickens live" and people moving their flock in the house. Heck, I know my coop would NOT do for a Canadian winter. I'd be moving my flock in the garage or in the house too. It's not DESIGNED for those temps. It's more designed so they'll survive the heat.
My Turkey coop was open on one side, so once I put chickens in there, I closed it in.

your as bad as I am about the drs. sigh...
Oh, I WANT to go! It's the weather! The roads are crazy! In fact, the doctor's office is closed so I couldn't go no matter how hard I tried. I'll get there! In fact, what has happened is that I will see the foot dr in the morning and the neck dr at noon on the same day. He's going to poke my hands and arms and check to see how much loss of sensation I have. Which I can tell you there is some and that's why my typing has gone to heck. 😕

So I finally got around to looking into hubs' new dental insurance.

Holy crap our assigned dentist has AMAZING reviews!!!! I can't believe it! I'm in absolute shock.

Our other ones...well, my first trip/experience (there was a follow up of a cavity fill) the staff was good, it just took a while. Second trip they had me cooling my heels for forever - what was supposed to be just a cleaning ended up as a cleaning, x rays done by some gentleman who was a bit clumsy with it, having the dentist talk over my head as if I weren't even there ABOUT the state of my mouth and at the end I ended up just walking myself to the front desk because they'd do something, set me back in the chair and ignore me/dissapear for a while - I was there from about 8:30 til almost noon. That was unacceptable in my eyes...waste of my time. I have NEVER EVER had a dentist take as long for routine stuff like that.

Anyway. Went to visit my waxer today...ended up not getting ALL the bits done - I had a reaction from the wings on my pads from happy ragtime this month (UGH!) so we put that off for another week. My legs are done though, so I can wear skirts if I want at least. Though....it's not that kind of weather anyway. Sigh.

Still gotta call petco. Keep meaning to. The local groomers are either really expensive and booking out way too far, or aren't so great with the communication - so I'm thinking I'll just take him for a bath/toe trim at petco, see how that goes. I just figure with his puppy shenanigans I'll leave it to the professionals for now, maybe next time I'll do the self-wash things. So annoying. Mention that I need to trim his toes, and hubs starts up call of duty. His buddy in Texas has power again, so he's missed him I think lol. Speaking of the Goose, he's flopped right now snoozing behind me. He truly is a mama's boy. lol. I now have four puppy teeth hanging out by my egg skelter - the teething is real.

Anyway. It's only 8:12 and I'm ready for bed. Yikes.
About the reviews, maybe they wrote them while still high on gas. Does he give gas?
