My sister didnt want to wear a suit because she said she was "too skinny". TV has done a # on our girls today. Everyone thinks we have to be models and its just so dumb. Teach our girls to be strong independent women that can hold their own. Thats something to look up to not a tight stomach .
And, Camp, thats what you should be teaching your DD. Not what you look like but how you carry yourself.

I've written this so many times and deleted it, but I'll try again. I know I brought up them being skinny, but that's only part of if. Both of them knew me when I was 19, so I'm worried for being the poster child for "had kids, got fat." Also I tried on my suits last night and was just so uncomfortable. I don't want to be constantly worried and my thighs chafing, or my skirt coming up, or my boobs popping out. The halter strings hurt my neck, so I wanted something with straps.

This was a staff trip to Galveston, in 2014:


All I remember is trying to keep my shorts where they belonged, and my boobs covered. The halter neck gave me a headache. Last year on the cruise I wore a shirt over my suit because there was too much cleavage and I was uncomfortable. I can't be confident if I'm not comfortable.

So here's the new suit!



Nice wide straps, good coverage, nice long shorts for no chafing. Now I feel ready without having to stitch and sew. Now I can focus on playing with the kids without a wardrobe malfunction.

Sorry I made it about me this morning. DH wasn't up yet. But talking to him (and crying!) helped.

I don't have any hard feelings toward skinny women. I have friends in all shapes, sizes, and colors. I know we've all got our struggles, and they're worried about me being worried about them. I believe in the sisterhood! Sorry if I made anyone else uncomfortable or self-conscious with me. I can be very body positive, and I can tell everyone else to rock it and shake it however they see fit. I just had a bit of a low morning.
