"O" pretty much, I just followed what the electrician had except for having the outlet the "right side up"

so hot cold and ground? I want to change one of mine. Fish tanks...

that was me putting the outlet in right side up NOT him. The outlet should look like a smiley face. OR at least a face with 2 eyes on top

yep and depends on if the hot wire carries/transfers to other outlets or not. There is "tape" across one set of the screws which you may or many not need to use/remove.
