I hope she can do it. You guys will need to read through at least the first pages of the links #2 sent. One of the links is the directions... what to do and what not to do.
When you are going to do the download, have the instructions open on your laptop and have Robert's with the download link.

Pretty sure you want to choose the update to download. The other one is a reinstallation and will erase all of Robert's progress in the game. If the update doesn't fix his problem, then he may have to do the reinstallation
