No. I used to wear a bright blue aproon whenever I was taking care of my EE chicks when they were little. I figured they thought of me as a big, blue hen that fed them meal worms and talked funny.

Yeah, I'm mad at myself for being careless. About half my flock is black Australorps and I think they keep hawks away bc they look like big crows on steroids. I don't usually have hawks when they are all out there together.

Oh yum. Add some maple syrup (real stuff) to your butternut squash soup. It will blow your mind. How did you do the thighs? Skin on? Bone in? I do boney skin on thighs with salt n pepper for 375 for 45 minutes, brush the bbq sauce on and another ten minutes or so and it’s usually good.

Goose was $2k. I think if I wanted breeding stock it would have cost me more (akc limited vs akc full reg...twist or h2o is there a specific term for the not limited reg?)

That broke my heart blue. I remember just standing there in shock for hours I cried. I hired someone to come dig a pit and put the parts left over in it. I went from around 40 chickens to 5 and I called someone to come get those that same day. I was truely broken
