Oh update on Robert,

He is in the Bismarck Hospital in ICU , I talked to him last night. 5 broken ribs with some internal bleeding and then managed to break his femur just a little below where the ball joint attached to the hip.
Ouch, hope he heals up quick with no lasting complications
no one around and honestly I wanted it done "right" had to mow everything on the highest setting and then mow it a second time at the middle (usual) setting the second time around.

OMG the Lilacs smell DIVINE this year.
Found out from an old neighbor of mine - the new owners of my old house cut down all the lilacs. Pretty much had a lilac hedge, was awesome. oh well, lilacs are hardy as heck in that neck of the woods, they'll be pulling up volunteer lilacs until the rapture ;) I miss the heck out of having lilacs. Much better option than the oleander that takes over down here.
fell off the cement steps going into the the house from the outside at the farm.
I was going to ask what he did...I've missed a lot it seems.
Hey..coming on to let you know my husband passed on the 27th...last Thursday. All I can say is, this is so hard. Kids have been wonderful! So thankful for them. A couple stayed with me through the days as he passed. Then one daughter stayed one more night. The kids that live here we're in California for a wedding. They got back the day before he passed. I'm so grateful they are home..I'm not alone. Thank you for prayers.
Cynthia, I am sending so much love and strength your way. Sorry for your loss, and sending so many hugs.
Hello, went to Costco with my DD & 3 GKs. It was way to crazy. Not good to go On the first on the month.
I try to time my costco treks to within an hour of when they're supposed to close and it seems to be a ghost town. Though I did a trek mid day last week - after work, the one near my work now has self checkout, which is awesome when you don't have much.
See, this is why I have always believed a woman needs three husbands. I need a mechanic, a carpenter, and one to go to the opera and concerts with. I wrote an essay about it in high school and got an A on it. :gig
no, don't have the mechanic for a husband. don't do it. DON'T DO IT! You think you'll save money on automotive repairs until he starts his Projects! Oi! (as we can tell, I can't even handle the ONE husband....let alone multiples)
I thought blanching meant put in boiling water for a short time (like just till bright green, a couple of minutes) then quickly put in ice water to stop the cooking. Then drain when cool so it doesn't get waterlogged.
Yeah, that's what I thought too...
Yeah right now we are paying over 600dollars a month for me. When cobra runs out then nothing. Til medicare
Look into this - ugh I'm brainfarting on the act, but there was something signed in to 100% cover COBRA if you lost coverage due to reduction of hours/layoff....
Let your job know what's going on. They should hold your job for you as long as they know you're having "technical difficulties" and are working on them, you're not just a "no-show" for no good reason.
so the ID requirements are a fed requirement - three business days of starting employment you need to be able to show the employer documents to show you're legally able to work - under 18 has slightly different requirements. Now if you do have any 1 from column 1 or one of each from b or c, the employer can't pick and choose which ones they'll accept. So if you have a birth cert and school ID, they can't say OH NO WE NEED TO SEE YOUR SOCIAL.

Whoo. It has been a busy busy week - work and otherwise, I'm sorry y'all. Time cards and paperwork full of fudgery, absentee and distracted bosses (find out later it's because they're selling their house) and basic trying to get caught up from missing last weekend being out at the river - my kitchen is still a mess and Mount Laundry is reaching new heights and I still have to muck out the coop and give it round two of permetherin spray, but the Slope of Doom is now seeded and as planted as it's going to get - chickens get to stay on lock down for another 2-3 months though until everything is established. they're too much of jerks!

Avery, take care of yourself hun. Get your patoot into a doc and get your bruising/nosebleed issue figured out. There are plenty of us who care - even if we are words on a computer monitor.
