Granny's gone and done it again

Granny, use canned veggies for Tom. Rutabegars, carrots, sweet potatoes, anything green or orange

dr. upped his insulin to 40 in the am and 40 pm plus sliders. He had banana for breakfast, boiled eggs and 2 pieces of wheat toast for lunch then salad and a very small piece of pizza for dinner. Highest his sugar was today was 180 so we did really good today.

Last April was our 10-year anniversary. DH gave me three choices: cruise, Yellowstone, or Nashville. I chose Nashville, but the cabin wasn't available. So I chose Yellowstone and we booked it, but they had a late snowstorm and the park was closed. So on a whim we took a cruise. AND LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT. On my profile there's an album of pics from last year.

While on board we booked for 2017, to bring the kids. Everything we did we only wished they were with us. We also put out an invite to other married friends, and two couple came to. It cost us around $1700 for the four of us. Considering the quality of food and the 12+ hours a day of childcare available, I still think it's a heck of a value. There's also music shows/productions, comedians, and games every day/night. They play movies on board and have tournaments for bean bag toss and trivia. In ports you can leave the ship and walk around to shops or public beaches for free. So you can definitely keep costs down.

Sounds lovely, definitely a bargain for a family of four. I have looked and have a lot of friends that go. I would love the down time.

I encourage it! They have 3-day cruises, too. Everything is so fancy, you really get spoiled. Cleaned room and fresh towels every day, sit-down three-course brunches on sea days, movies on the deck every night, if you're at the pool and need a towel you just ask an attendant for one. It's like a country club, I guess. Our favorite dinner server was Alina from Romania. She was the only one who treated my kids like real people and catered to them as much as us. She's the reason they drank chocolate milk from wine glasses. :love

Gerry (from the Philippines I think) was our room steward. He checked on us Friday (seasick day) because we hadn't left the room all morning and he knew we usually did.

I had a drink made with Bacardi oakheart spiced rum, which sounded like something from Lord of the Rings.
