Mine only needs changing every 6 months or so. Its built into the fridge for ice and cooled water on the door. The boys seem to enjoy it.

yes but not as much as before. Im down 11 or 12 lbs.

I'm not the one in charge of cleaning and maintaining it so I dont know how often it needs to be cleaned.

Changed, not cleaned. They have to be replaced. Household maintenance. Have whoever does it teach you. Someday you will be a home owner.

The well water has to be filtered or it wrecks the appliances.

I have a water softener for that. I am bad about keeping salt in it though
