Granny's gone and done it again

Yes, LOL, it is all mental with him. I have seen veins in eggs from the grocery store. I am not sure how. He is a strange bird, ha. But...I don't like sweet peas. It is a mental thing with me, haha. It makes me think of ticks. I will eat them in food, but not by themselves. LOL
My son was the same. He didn't need to know if they were fertile or not. If there was a rooster out there, which I would sneak for a while..or I tried the collars...he wouldn't eat an egg from out there. lol

Oh, I see...that is definitely good advice. I had planned on keeping my silkies totally separate from the rest of the flock, even from the other small breeds I want. They are so small. I also just want to go in their run and cuddle with them. The ones I had a long time ago were super sweet and cuddly. Even the rooster. I need to make a plan of how many chickens and how many of each breed I aim to have in case I order chicks...or when/if I find someone who has them locally.
I loved my silkies. I hatched many too.

He has said this for years...and was very adament about it LOL. And he is firm about it, ha. I recently heard about the collars. Can you tell me a bit about them?

They quiet the sound. They don't keep them completely quiet. I have close neighbors, so I needed quiet. :(. They're scared if them at first. Have to be careful. They back up fiercely trying to get our of it. About the only time you'll see a chicken/rooster ever walk backwards. They could hurt themselves, so watch them for a bit if you decide on it. They get used to it.

Are they comfortable in them once it is on? I am wondering if that would work on peacocks? I want peacocks, but my neighbors might not like me having them.
