Oh, that sounds good. My grandmother used to save her bacon grease in a big can to use for cooking in other things. I loved her cooking. I can see that big can now.

I always save bacon grease . Green beans just aint right w/o it. I have a hard time getting it now because I seldom cook. My SD saved some for me and Twist mailed me some once.

lol .. as I was reading this and got to the part where you said you couldn't get it I thought, I should mail her some! But how in the world do you mail bacon?? Then I see twist did. Had to be a trick getting it there in good shape.

That would be awesome if you can! I think he used plastic cottage cheese containers. wrapped in newspaper along with some fudge and cookies... We can ask him when ever he comes back.

We would never be able to live in Ca. then. My SSI is $94. a month based on what Tom gets. Wouldnt even buy gas.
