I went and paid property taxes today. Man, goes up more every year! $1,780 something this year.

Our don’t go up in calif, only good thing about this state. Of course they are trying to screw that up too

When I used to cook I would half freeze the cube steak then slice it in strips . Freezing it made it easier to slice. I dunked it in a milk/egg wash before I battered it. I used veggie oil but I always added some bacon grease to that. Gives it better flavor I think.

Just use straight bacon grease. Veg oil is bad for you.

lol .. as I was reading this and got to the part where you said you couldn't get it I thought, I should mail her some! But how in the world do you mail bacon?? Then I see twist did. Had to be a trick getting it there in good shape.

You mail it with lots of fudge and cookies.

We don't deep fry here, or use any oil much at all. Maybe for baking which only happens once in a great while. Bacon grease wouldn't taste good in a cake mix.
