Granny's gone and done it again

Mine chose the farm over the pond. Maybe they don't need water like true ducks? My neighbor has them on pasture. No pond at all on her property.

Skovies in particular are not big on water like other duck breeds, ime. I was just explaining that to my mom/sister when we were down at the farm this last weekend as the newest duck they have is a skovie and has ZERO interest in the creek, pool, etc - preferring to toodle around the pasture and yard. Mabel, the duck that they got him to be a friend for, is a pretty little thing and more your standard "duck" (not sure of her breed, will have to get a photo next trip down - can't even remember what leg/bill color she has) and lives for floating around in the creek all day as did the last two (Mabel's previous companions, I maintain she is offing them, lol, and the fact that Benjamin has no interest in hanging out with her is why he is still around)

Just saw two of the scovy hens chasing a swarm of those blue/green black dies through the pen, gobbling as they went.

Very good news!! Do they have power at home? She's probably better off in the hospital even of they do, but I sure would want to get home!

yes, they have power at home . drs. said a few more days if she continues to improve. No tv, no light at all in the room she is in now. They did charge her phone for her.
