Well, I got about half the birds moved. Just needing to move ducks, now. Oh, and the meat turkey, but she should be pretty easy as long as I pretend to have food lol

I was about ready to strangle the dang Narragansetts. Those things are so flighty! Hopefully, I will get some good hens out of them that will grow up nice and gentle and be done with these dumb things.

How big are the turkeys? Seems like a full grown one flailing away would be hard to handle. You eat them?

Do you know a byc member named Scrambles? She lives up your way. It's hunting season, so not on much right now.

They're full grown. I'd guess about 15 lbs on the hens and 20-25 on the tom. We love raiding our meat turkeys and I wanted some that didn't have to be butchered every year, so we figured we'd get some heritage birds. Unfortunately, I bought some very, very wild birds. We plan to hatch out as many eggs as possible. We will raise some to butcher, some to replace these birds, and sell the rest.

I've heard of her, but haven't met her. I'm in a local thread for my area, though. There are actually quite a few of us on here.
