Based on photos and her blog, I think she is at least 18. She no longer shows in 4H fairs, I believe. So no.

Did you order yours, Cherry? Years ago I got fruit trees from Stark Bros. Good stock! Grapes, berries, trees....

Nope, we got ours at Costco, just brought them home in the car. They were grown in CA, so they should have no issues adjusting. We used to have pomegranates, grapes, peaches, plums, oranges, and pears! We had a persimmon tree a long time ago too. Bad thing about moving and renting is that some renters don't care about the plants. Killed the persimmon tree, which is a huge bummer.

Oh yes, I totally want to be her friend! She sounds amazing. Super quick with replies too. I get to visit her every year, since she offers free vaccinations for those who buy from her. Would love to have a look around. They have poultry and alpacas too!

Awww, I'm sorry! We have 3 persimmon trees but we never get any fruit off them. I suspect our greedy neighbors, Mr. And Mrs. O. Possum, get to them before we do. They're rather a shiftless lot, as far as we can tell he's habitually unemployed and leaves her to care for all the kids all by herself, so we don't mind sharing with her, poor thing.

Be careful! Before you know it you'll have half a dozen alpacas and yoy'll be shearing them, carding wool and making and selling afghans and capes! Hmm. I'll take a size medium in black and tan, please!
