Granny's gone and done it again

mine are side by side. just a platform for the dryer would work. How did you make yours?

I designed it and had Gene make it. Basically a wooden box frame with gliders on the drawer and inside the box. Then we skinned the box with wood toned left over peg board.

I had it on hand and for air flow should we have any leaks. I have once (seal on washer went) and everything dried out just fine. no warping of the wood or the floor.
Robert said he could make a 2x4 frame to set it on. Is that a good idea?

should work, but put the uprights inside/between the top and bottom frames, for more strength and use good screws.

oh and at least 5/8th inch thick plywood on the top of the box. I stapled some leftover carpet on mine to help deaden the noise.

Thank you! He said we could put a Tupperware under there to keep the cats out and add storage! Ive found a new project for him and Keven

cool

he should probably double the 2x4 for the supports at each corner. Better safe than to have a dryer on top of you.
