Granny's gone and done it again

Miracle babies from Nugget, a hen of mine that was killed by a hawk. I know their mom was a Sebright. I believe their dad is an Old English Game Bantam. Possible Cochin Bantam. I sure do love them. Their eggs had been refridgerated before I incubated them. 2 is a good number of chicks to have.
I thought gold sebright.

No, one course of antibiotics doesn't clear it up for me.
I hear ya Cap, mine also. Antibiotics will knock it back into remission but it never goes away.

I do the netti pot thing with mine. I'm sure it's where they got water boarding from but for me it works wonders when it comes to controlling post nasal drip. That and the miracle of modern drugs.

Tell it to go bug somebody else and sweet dreams, Kelsey!

I spent much of the day outside shuffling kennel panels around that make up my chicken run. I want to segregate my bantams and littles into one coop which means they need their own run.

Got out before the dirt became mud and discovered two panels were frozen to the ground. Got the splitting maul and pry bar out and beat the snot out of it. Finally got them broke free. Then one decided to come apart so had to repair it. By this time the dirt was liquified as the temp got above freezing. Slogged the panels where I wanted them and discovered that I'm 4 feet short for the configuration I want.

So cobbled it together for the night. No more panels on the farm to be had. Need to improvise. Came up with the idea of building a panel using a wood frame and some metal siding that we have on hand. That way nothing can climb it as it's going to be near the coop and it will act as a wind and sun break as it will be facing the west.

Tomorrow I build that then get it up and the hot wire back being hot before the rain and snow hit on Wednesday.

DH asked me why the rush. I told him because the little gland in the birds little pea brains is telling them to mate and I want pure blooded bantam eggs to hatch, that's why! Nature calls and they must answer.
