Granny's gone and done it again

I have washed/ processed / sold or given away 204 eggs (17 doz) in the last 5 days. Not all of them came from my own chickens, of course. I'm getting an average of 10 eggs a day from my 23 hens and pullets.

Hmm. How do people recieve the eggs though? I think pickup at our house is a no-go, too far away.

We just give them to friends and family, but even doing that leaves us with a LOT extra. We don't eat very many eggs.

wish I could get some fresh eggs. I sure do miss them.
I used to sell them and would meet in town but it wasnt worth the gas to do that.

You'll have to figure out what works. I have a friend who lives in senior housing about 20 miles from here. She has a little apartment in a complex with lots of other older folks like herself and she knows everybody in the place. She buys several dozen eggs from me each week, and sells them to her friends. She comes to the little town where my husband works to pick them up, about midway between her place and ours. She gets a dozen free for herself for making the trip.

Plant them in pots? Once they are blooming it should be obvious they are not weeds.

I have to go grocery shopping tomorrow. I have had 2 days of rest so hopefully my back will be better. I never spent my gift card from Christmas and was thinking I would get a car seat cover for the van. Keven said they are expensive though. Like $60. each. Not sure I want to spend that much. My seats are leather and are freezing now and burn skin in summer.

You're worth $60. At least get one for the driver's seat. Oh wait. In some instances you're not supposed to put seat covers on because they prevent side air bags from deploying and may be illegal at least or a safety hazard at worst. I don't know who you would ask. Auto Zone maybe?
