I quit my job because of the hours I was required to work to keep up with demand. I asked for an hourly wage raise based on my relatively low hourly wage compared to what the local economy was supporting. Initially my employer agreed to it, but several days later he decided he won't give me the raise after all, so I quit. He seemed shocked by it, because he thought I wouldn't have the backbone to quit.Thank you for sharing, Wow, big family! I had 5 sisters. 4 now. I have been married for a long time too. 27 yrs I believe. Maybe 28 .
Im sorry you got burned out on your job. Im guessing health care?
I worked for a local standing seam metal roofing company measuring roofs, doing quotes and being responsible for signing contracts. I just had too much on my plate and my body just kind of suddenly quit on me. I don't think there will be any long term negetive health effects if I recover properly before going back to work again.
The most difficult thing to deal with is having been completely involved with helping to run/manage a growing bustling business where every sense was on high alert to be as efficient as possible, to doing almost nothing in order to allow the brain to recover, was almost more unwinding than what I was capable of.
Currently my attention span is very short, where it used to be that I had an exceptional memory, to the point that it usually got the attention of my employers. I am hoping with proper care and healing now, that it will go back to be as good or almost as good as it was before.
