Granny's gone and done it again

Looks fabulous....where are the jalapeño slices??

Im home. I have cried this whole blessed day. I got all the way to Madison at the round-a-bout and got a flat. Im guessing about half mile to hospital maybe less. I have no spare or jack. Robert had me pretty worried so I drove the rest of the way. I got him in to the dr. and his fever still high they are working on him to get it down I tried making some calls. Called my friends DH and he said give him half hr. and he would try and find someone. I waited and called back 3 times. He wasnt answering his phone So I called his wife with the same results. Called a tire co. They have one for $92.00 but I have to bring my tire in. Called Tom just to let him know what was going on. I had a can of fix-a-flat and hurt myself putting it in just to watch it all come right back out. I asked for maintenance in the hospital and the guy comes out but they dont have a jack. My van is very rusted and needs a floor jack. So he goes to Lowes and buys a new jack and a 4way, takes my tire off and takes me to tire store where I am dropped off. I still dont know what is wrong with my son. I was there for a very long time and finally the man is back to pick me and tire up. I went straight to Robert who was curled up sleeping. I had asked the nurse if she could watch him before I left of course. They had broke his fever. He was able to go home with antibiotics. He has sinus infection AND a UTI. He never once complained. I did notice he peed before we left and then said I need to pee before we go.

one new chick and one trying to hatch but just making the pip bigger so after I rest for a few I will finish it. Other 3 nothing.
Glad you found a nice person to help you with the tire...that was nice of that man.

And I am glad robert got some meds to make him feel better!

Congrats on the happy ending....the new chick!!

Hugs! It sounds stressful. Did you remember to eat and drink plenty of fluids during your adventure?

No, I had nothing til 6pm. Robert bought me a KFC while we waited on his meds. Was the best stuff.. Oh, we leave kfc and I need to turn around and there is ton of traffic. so I pull into Rallys parking lot and low and behold, I find myself in line with no way out. hahahaaa I sat in between 2 cars til the first got their order then drove through. Talk about feeling like an idiot.

Now...I think I know what I am going to cook tomorrow..well maybe the next day.
This pot of gumbo I made is enough to last for days.
I'm so darn full i can barely move!
Well I did just take a quick bike ride with my little.
And I might just have enough for one more bowl

It took forever. I should've cut the meat smaller. The thai basil and mint just had very strong flavors, that's what the fam didn't like. DH has never liked mint, and the kids are always telling me that their toothpaste is too spicy, so I guess they don't really like it either.

We love our pho with a big dash of hoisin sauce and shriratcha.
I've never made beef, only chicken....I could eat that stuff every day!
My DH doesn't care for the "greens' either but I love em.

Ive never attempted the spring rolls before but looking at them they do seem pretty simple.
Did you have trouble rolling them up?
