Hmm. I think I had the wrong kind and it wasn't draining good. Two different plants rotted at soil level. I'll have to find some sand and try again. Thanks.

Good grief, I would never have known. Learn something new even at my age. Eating flowers that is.

I would like to learn all the different wild plants you can eat. I know there are tons and tons of them. My backyard is full of plantain.

No twist tonight Granny. He gets on every now and again, posts once or twice... sometimes more, then off to eat. He's one busy man. I think it says something to keep up with this thread. He's made a friend. Or two. Or three by now.

Hopefully his friend will come back and take some of his load. I miss him.

mix it about 50.50 with potting mix and when you water dont let the water hit the plant.

I have a son..that is our rock hound, knows a lot about that. He's pointed out a few green weeds to me. Actually, he and my ex.. remember this son is the son that married my daughter, so sees my former..goes mushroom hunting. They know which ones are good to eat..up in our mountains. Also here, in our ditches in the spring.. asparagus.
