Granny's gone and done it again

Thats a lot of hail. When we get hail its normally followed be a bad storm.
It was coming down for quite a long time. Melted pretty quick on the concrete patio, but that plastic doesn't have any heat to it. Could have made a slushie ball!
 
Henry didn't like the thunder. He hid next to #1.

Last month we had some wrens hatch out 4 babies. I looked in their old nest today and saw 3 new eggs! They are going to have more babies!

This was from the last batch. The babies were almost fledged. You can see one white eye stripe toward the left at the back. There are 3 more youngsters crowded in there.

The actual nest is in front of the babies. They ran out of room! The white-ish blob in the nest is an unhatched egg. It's still in there now with the new eggs. I will try to get more pictures of the new littles. Setting up the game cam tomorrow.
 
  • 1 gallon snow

  • 1 cup white sugar

    When it starts to snow, place a large, clean bowl outside to collect the flakes. When full, stir in sugar and vanilla to taste, then stir in just enough milk for the desired consistency. Serve at once.
