Granny's gone and done it again

The baby wrens are pretty much fledged. I expect they will leave the nest any day now. The dots show location of each beak tip.

Here they were a week ago.

Common house plant... I've had it in this spot for years. It got too big for the pot so I split it last year and now look! Have you ever seen a bloom on one of these?

Nope, never seen those bloom! Will be interesting to see what comes of it :)

That’s what people keep telling me. Who can afford it?
rock and a hard place. Gotta get to work, keep working, but...more and more of that paycheck is going to making sure you still work. Sigh

Beautiful! They will look even better glazed.
Is there a difference between red clay and other colors of clay? Is one better than the other?
What's the ETA for getting your kiln? Do you use that for glazing as well as firing?
I am picking up the kiln tomorrow! 3 hours, 36 minutes drive, one way. Red clay and white clay can both be used for many things. It's mostly esthetic, and glazes can look different on different colors of clay. Some clay has grog, which is ground pieces of pottery. Often used for building larger pieces.

Howdy all, Long day. Had Nancy and Kevin here today. Kevin took the old blades off the mower while Nancy and I went to eat. They showed them to me when we got home and they couldnt be saved. So him and Robert went to town and bought new. $50, for new. They got them back on and it seems to be working good.
Pain is bad for me right now but Im finally resting so hopefully it will get better soon.
Cap, did you find someone to go with you? I wish you safe travels.

First scorcher day in a while. I just don’t do heat.
I just came in... dropped a few degrees to 93 now. We have some cloud cover which helps a bit. Tomorrow will be hotter. I will go for groceries... the car is our only ac!

Pro, you work your tail off and you ought to go and buy a nice little reliable commuter car that gets good mileage and has working ac. Seems to me you are due to make a decision on your own behalf... give yourself the gift of less stress and frustration. 🧡
