Granny's gone and done it again

She's been doing this for a couple weeks now. Its between 9am-1pm. I search ALL the places she could be. I am thinking she is in the brambles somewhere laying eggs. Now I have to look up GPS collars for chickens! Thought about a GoPro.

Speaking about chickens.. I am considering making them saddles. Poor girls are bare back and the back of their heads. Doesn't help that my rooster takes his SWEET time making sweet love (sorry couldn't help it, lol).

Sounds like she is laying a clutch. There are probably a dozen eggs waiting for you somewhere.
When I was a kid, hens would "disappear" only to return with a bunch of fluffy chicks. They were great at hiding considering all the predators we had.

I got the kiln before the studio, because it's big and digital and in very good condition. I am going to make a spot in the work shop, put it in there, and cover with a tarp to keep wood dust off of it.

Fox is moving in closer to the back porch. Not even scared of us. They are about 50ft from the back door now

They can habituate if they don't see you as a threat. If you're worried, yell or make a loud noise (bang a pot) and they will move off. They are not usually dangerous to people, but like any animal, if they get cornered or scared they will defend themselves.

I was not a happy camper w/o coffee . Toms DD bought me a new coffee pot. supposed to be here Monday. It has a filter to remove calcium and fluoride. Hopefully it will last longer with my hard water and I wont have to wait Another 45 mins for it to get done.
The foxes ignore the dogs and now the dogs are ignoring them. Before Bandit would raise cain and they would ignore them.
