Granny's gone and done it again

I was born into a fairly strict Amish group. I grew up Amish and left with my wife when I was 26 years old.

Yes I did. Milking cows by hand and farmed with horses.
That had to of been very hard. :hugs How long have you been gone? Im thinking you are in my age group? younger probably.

It was pretty wild. I know how dire your rain situation is. A very good friend lives in Santa Barbara.
12 inches in just 8 hours was the most by far for a calendar day in history here. The previous record was 6.85 inches in 1915. All 4 interstates coming into St. Louis were closed due to flooding, some for over 5 hours in morning drive time. There were evacuations including high water rescues all across a big metropolitan area. People were carrying their children and pets out of their homes in neck deep water.
There were power outages from transformers getting submerged where it had never happened.
I imagine if you got that much rain, you would have landslides all over the place. But I really feel for your situation. We were encroaching on drought territory before this week. After the 12" morning rain, we have had a deluge every night to follow the next 3 nights.

But just remember, there is no such thing as climate change.
Personally I think the deep state is messing with the weather.

For those of you who own cats, how do you guys keep them away from lilies and/or other poisonous plants? Do cats tend to WANT to eat it? I'm assuming it'll be best to keep poisonous plants fenced in but would love to hear thoughts.
I don’t fence off plants for cats. Dogs I just get rid of them.
