this hurts my heart. Temper tantrums are a very real thing for autistic people. Seems like there would be a better place for them. Of course I wouldnt know where that would be.

Yes, it's called limbic attacks. There are a lot of those, but Austin is incredibly good at talking them down. If they get out of hand, which happens every now and again, a hold helps. He talks to them while holding. Most of the time the boys settle down when they're being held and talked too. These boys fought back. That rarely happens.

My sister showed my the hold for Robert when he was about 4. It did calm him.

My doctor says if you had Lyme disease, you will always test positive.

Vet has tests for the dog to see if there is an active infection, even though he will always show pos on the basic antibody test. I think Lyme is different in people, but there are chronic cases identified and treated.

They just need that help/reminder that it's ok to settle down. It will be ok. It helps their brain to switch back.

I've been tested twice. I was told to go three times. I'm not sure I'll go again after seeing this specialist up north. I think she hit it in the nose as to what's going on. Praying my meds work.
