Granny's gone and done it again

Well; I suppose it's a bit tricky to drive in if you don't have winter tyres...

They made that law in Quebec didn't they? That you had to run winter tires? (Good law, that)

You'd be amazed how many people are all "oh I only need all seasons I got awd/4x4" (as they slide through a stop sign or hit the ditch)

We have a hill about a mile from here that the "kids" like to climb with their 4wheelers. It's pretty long & pretty steep, & I'm guessing not all of them make it over the top. A guy in an open CJ Jeep was one that didn't; flipped over backward with him.

Further along the same road, near the end of a 1/4 mile straight stretch, complete with start & finish lines, is a homemade marker near a tree with no upper part. One of the locals received a rebuilt Camaro from Daddy as a high school graduation present several years ago. Pop had evidently spared no expense in restoring/rebuilding the Camaro; it was pretty hot. Hot enough that junior had to find out what it would do. He found out, alright, but never knew it. The car left the road & took out the top portion of that big tree, 20-30' from the road. Dead on the spot.

Oh my :(
Noodling...where some drunken fool and several of his friends go below the surface in a muddy river or stream, and stick their arms into a tangle of roots & rocks, blindly feeling around for giant catfish (or whatever else happens to be residing there at the time).

You're kidding right?

Dog help me the only Canadian beer I can acquire down here is moosehead.

It's funny. I don't remember thinking much of it when I was up there...but down here...cheers.

Yes, they're required by law.

I've gone on some trips where I've seen a good 10-13 people roadside; five bucks says either nobody or very few of said person's had winter tyres....

Tons of pain and no sleep except for bad dreams makes a grumpy granny. I drempt I left home and moved into a crap apartment. Guess I was going back to collage. Then I got 2 room mates who were a bit odd. Then one moved out and one of my sisters said, This is what she had been missing, she was here to stay. Then someone was sick in one of the beds and I went to check and it was my other sister that has passed. Said she couldnt stay and wanted me to go with her. Then Danna called and told me she read on FB where my DS had made a post saying how he missed and needed me and to please come home. I felt like I needed to get back to him and I was trying to when I woke up.
Woke up tired and tons of pain this am. My ach.tendon is hurting bad. This is something new . The swelled neck is not , but, I woke up. LOL

Quote: Nope! Not kidding at all! Quite the sport down South. Sure...I'm gonna blindly stick my hand up a blind hole as far as I can & feel around for a fish that's capable of crushing or removing a finger, breaking a wrist when it spins, or worse if you can't or don't have the good sense to turn loose. Believe I'll pass this time, TYVM.
