There are worse things than bears.
2 legged critters are the worst

It's feels like 79° here at 3:30. And we had rain. On and off all day and night. I went out at 2 am and it was raining too hard to do chores.
Sounds like heaven to me.
Power went out at 3am and not back on until 1pm. And it's 108⁰ outside, 91⁰ inside. It did not cool down much last night, and no fans to move inside air out. Ugh ugh ugh. I don't remember it ever being this hot here, and we haven't even hit the hottest part of the day.
Trying to keep the hens cool. Will be easier now that the power is back. Impossible to live without water.

Do they shut your power off on purpose?

That howling is their charm! lol
No no nonononoooo!
Their velvety ears are their charm.
And their baggy eyes.

One of the big 3 reasons I got a whippet is that they rarely bark.

Ya I cant do this. This is almost the color of my curtains Maybe I need new curtains? View attachment 3250425
Hubs and I have this discussion with the kids a lot... the difference between  need and  want. For example, you  need to get the car fixed.

Nagging will now cease for the rest of the day. :hugs

No, I don't think so. There was no explanation given, but PG&E has so many lawsuits from the fires and other problems, that they are on their best behavior.
State regulators might cut power if the grid is under stress, but the power company would yell that from the hilltops to avoid blame.
This little area we live in has been very prone to outages for the past few years. There were over 1,100 households involved this, spread out over a wide area. Dad up at the farm too.
