Outside the house. Stucco, instead of painting the wood you pur up stucco. Like cement. But color put in the last coat.

I believe stucco will keep your home cooler.

Oh, before I go, a question for @h2oratt or @Wishing4Wings. Can a dog get fleas from eating a wild mouse? My Diva cat brought in a mouse tonight and Sammy got it away from her. I was trying to make him take it outside when Gracie grabbed it and gobbled it down. I know, ick. I give my dogs Simparica Trio every month, it's supposed to defend against heartworm, fleas, ticks and a couple of other worms (tapes, roundworms?). It was dead when she ate it. She wasn't about to let me have it, not with the cat and 2 other dogs for competition. Thanks.
