I've been having colon problems since I had C-Diff. I take something almost every day to keep somewhat normal. Works for me. I will also be 70 next year.. unbelievable..! Also said no to treatment for osteoporosis.. which I was diagnosed with this year. Too scared to do it after hearing about it...go to hospital, hope for ..not too bad if a reaction. Not doing too bad, Granny, thanks for asking. Had a great summer. Fall saw me have a slight relapse on my diverticulitis. Still don't know what caused it. I stick like glue to my diet but obviously my colon didn't like something. Doctor thinks that a lot of my back pain is being caused by digestive tract inflammation. Guess the nerves all interact with one another and inflammation in the gut can cause inflammation in the nerve branches that affect the back.
The rest is good old degenerative disc disease, narrowed innerspaces and arthritis.
I doubled down on the diet, got lots of rest and am on antibiotics and starting to feel better again so hopefully I'm on the right tract.
I may consider the Ablation down the line if the neck pain gets the better of me and meds or PT won't help anymore then I may toss my cards in on it but not now, and not with those odds. But I'll be 70 years old next year and hey, 70 year old skeletons have their issues. God gives me the strength to face them and face them I shall.
Doctor wanted me to start biologic treatment of my osteo again even though my latest dexa scan showed improvement. I said no, and meant no. It was wrecking my quality of life and life is too short as it is without the treatment being as bad as the disease if not worse.
I wish!I thought you were in your 40s MC. Sounds like you are doing the same as I am. Pinched nerves all down my spine. What are biologic treatments?
We must euthanize our dogs.yep and some are species specific and others can transfer. It's a death sentence for a bull. Cows "self=cleanse" a little bit every cycle.
Dog also
I also have IBS with constipation which the GI told me was the cause of the diverticular disease. Loads of fun. Almost as much as C-diff. Were they able to get it to colonize for you I hope?I've been having colon problems since I had C-Diff. I take something almost every day to keep somewhat normal. Works for me. Hi Everyone! Hi Granny!
Was reading about ablation Granny. They wanted to do that on my neck and I refused it. My regular doc agreed that I wasn't progressed enough with my neck pain to go that route and they warned me that they couldn't guarantee the length of time it would work. Might be a year, might be a month.
Sorry, I need better odds than that.
@CapricornFarm, DH was back in the timber doing the same thing. Winds last week brought a tree down near one of our trails. He went back and cleaned it up. I arrived on the scene in time to help toss it in the tractor bucket and haul it back to the ol' ranch house.
Is that your house in the background? Gorgeous! I love the split log siding.
So how's everybody been here at Granny's place? Sorry for the lapse. Busy time of the year...heck the whole year has been busy for that matter.
