so you boil ham bone and veggies then take them all back out? I use instant mashed to thicken mine.

The ham bones and "spent veggies" yes and bones to the dogs spent veggies to the hens. Then start again with "fresh" veggies.

yepp Mom used to as well. But usually I just nuke the left over mashed and eat them that way with more butter and occasionally ranch dressing.

thats too much work for me. I dont add veggies to potato soup. Sounds good though
