Thanks, Granny. I like carcass better now that I see it. I used to be a top speller. I can tell I'm losing that skill, though. Losing my vocabulary, too. Can't always pull up the word I want when talking. Scares me.

OH I knew I spelled it wrong, but the other options didn't look right either.

Oh ... forgot to mention we lost a hen today, or rather last night. Found her huddled on the floor in a corner by herself. She was pretty thin but had a full crop, so guessing she died last night. Maybe the cold got her? Don't know. Believe she was either one of my yearlings or else an older EE, the one we saved last year after the neighbor's dog got her, which would make her 3 years old. Either way, as is usual, there was no warning in her behavior.
