Granny's gone and done it again

Used to love the hardboiled eggs pickled in the sweet and sour beet juice with beets. Didn't like the yolks much but let the eggs pickle until the beet juice reaches the yolk and I have to admit they are yummo.

DH isn't big on pickled stuff so I haven't made anything like that in years.

I tried with a cuke once. Just tasted like a cuke. IDK if it was a difference in the brine or what. It was clausens refrigerated pickles.

I imagine cheese absorbs flavors differently than a cucumber does.
