Follow the money, Pro. Rich developers donate big bucks to political types who sit on boards and make decisions about who gets to build (and make more money). Increases the tax base too, so more money goes into the public coffers, and the same people then get to decide who benefits from the money... always their very own voters.I just...I don't get it....we're in a drought. Yes, I get that. But we are still having unprecedented residential and industrial growth - IN DESERT AREAS. But yes, let's take away water rights from the farmers. Makes sense.

I don't see see any room in this scenario for a lowly almond grower. Small bucks can't compete with big bucks.
