Rural roads are hard to maintain because of the adobe, they slip and split and crack. The county hasn't been in this neighborhood in over 15 yrs. I don't think there is any money for maintenence for anything but primary rural roads, ones that get the most use. County supervisors don't think roads are a priority.

I bet they use your taxes to fix those other roads

Workers are still out front trying to finish up at least a couple of power poles.
I'm standing in front of my house here.

The crane was also slinging huge bags of gravel over too. Worker told me the 8 ft hole they dug (by hand!) for the pole was mostly sludge and needed the rocks to keep it upright. Exactly what hubs is doing for our fence extension.
(Except without a crane!)

That's the house across the street (no power since Wed). The new pole is going in, then they have to move all the stuff over from the damaged pole and attach it. Huge job. That's only one of 4.

They use our taxes to take care of all their pet projects including unfunded pension liabilities. Leftovers go to roads.

I didn't ask. They must have special equipment to get deep enough for a telephone pole.
I just walked out to see, and they have all the stuff transferred to the new pole and the old one was gone. Guys still on the pole setting it up.

watching cesar millian looking for some pointers. I got bit today. Didnt break skin but scared me. delivery man with meds came. Bandit was raising cain at the door while I was trying to open the door. I smacked his muzzle and he turned his mouth to me.

Here's what the pros use. No way they got a rig like that in Mary and Bill's back yard. Guy said they dug it by hand... and there was one at least one tired looking, mud covered guy... They are probably content getting major overtime pay.

It will take a lot of work to break Bandit of his bad habits. Cesar's magic works because he is the alpha dog, and makes sure the dogs he works with understand that. It's a social power dynamic rather than physical dominance. Bandit doesn't see you as alpha. He sees you as more of a big toy he can tease and devil.
