My big coop gets 2 scoops of mash a day and one of corn. Little was getting one scoop every other day but since the babies joined them its every day. Then I throw them a hand full of corn in the run for the grown ups. I have the tolbunt cage, babies in the barn and 2 in the house. More hatching.
the swap is a week from today. I think my seramas somehow know this . I have 5-6 of them setting . What am I supposed to do ? destroy the eggs and take the mamas ? Some of them are hatching. I wont be able to take the babies, It will be too cold.
Mornings, Congrats on all the chicks . Good save Camping. I was pretty proud of myself for being able to save the one I did. Its doing good. Eye swelling going down and seems to be acting normal. They are serama mixes .
CB has decided to go home. He left last night . I will miss him something awful .

I saw that when I was researching what kind of fish it was and how to cook it. Sadly, we don;t have a Long John Silver's here... the commercials always look good to me, and I haven't had a filet o fish in over 40 years! I pan fried the hoki in olive oil, with a little salt and lemon juice. It was delicious! Very mild flavor. An excellent fish for people who don't like fish!
Oh, and I guess because of questionable sustainability of the hoki fishery, McD's has stopped using it and are back to the old standby, pollock.
Same here! Only let one son sell one time in the neighborhood, and it was from a flower bulb/tuber catalog. Majority of the neighbors were interested and bought some.

Put them all in a cardboard box, eggs under them, and sell them! (Don't put in the baby killer though.) Also, you could have a sign/flyer at the swap about the ones for sale, and give out your FB info. Selling on FB might work. Take some pictures and people can look on your camera to see.
Someone placed a broody bantam hen with a bunch of new chicks for sale at the feed store. Whole lot was sold in less than an hour. Mamas and babies are irresistible!
