It came out when I was snake wrangling!

I said "rat snake?" and DH shrugged. We both pretty much narrow snakes to "moccasin" and "not moccasin."


It had eaten two chicks already.

I thought rat snake when I saw it; we have more of them than any other kind. At least you made a good snake out of one, even if they are good to have around.
Solid white/yellow belly, if that matters.

I don't mind them around, and try to relocate them. We had relocated one from the front porch recently. Maybe it's the same. I should start spray painting them neon pink.
Several color varieties of them, from patterns like your guy to solid black(except for the belly). Most people mistakenly call the black variety a Black Snake, but a true Black Snake is black all over, including the belly.

Just got a call from hubs. He's almost at his dad's place.

Casualties thus far: something busted in the sunroof of the work truck and a burnt out turn light.

Well...that kinda sucks. He could have taken my car and I would have rocked the offroadvo to work but nooo

He asked me how many episodes into it I was lol.

Cmon he's not here to take over the tv with gta. I am taking full advantage

DH and I have two episodes left. He refuses to watch them til the next season starts.

Figured out what happened to the other chicks.

I filled the feeder, and climbed halfway in the coop to reach the bowl, then put it down, then moved it, then filled it up. The chick started screaming and I thought one of the adults was on it, but they all backed off hollering. Then I thought maybe the feeder was on it. Nope, that snake. I had been within a foot of it over and over again.

I ran inside and hollered for a shovel, got mad, yelled there was a snake with a chick in its mouth, slammed the door, opened it back up and DH and I shouted "the .22!" At the same time. I grabbed it and ran back out. I didn't want to have my head in the coop while I shot, so I put the stock under my left armpit, put the muzzle on the snake's head, poked my head out of the coop, closed my eyes, and pulled the trigger. The snake started flopping around and the chick ran off screaming.

I can't believe the chick is ok.

Wow! At least you saved the last chick!

I think someone mentioned the new season starts in July

I started watching it in December and finished all by January.
