It came out when I was snake wrangling!I thought rat snake when I saw it; we have more of them than any other kind. At least you made a good snake out of one, even if they are good to have around.I said "rat snake?" and DH shrugged. We both pretty much narrow snakes to "moccasin" and "not moccasin."
It had eaten two chicks already.
Solid white/yellow belly, if that matters.
I don't mind them around, and try to relocate them. We had relocated one from the front porch recently. Maybe it's the same. I should start spray painting them neon pink.
Several color varieties of them, from patterns like your guy to solid black(except for the belly). Most people mistakenly call the black variety a Black Snake, but a true Black Snake is black all over, including the belly.
