Granny's gone and done it again

So I did something today. I put my sd in the hospital. Cant say I didnt accomplish anything.

Your not sure , might be something in the air since Robert is having "issues" lately as well. Maybe from the bath remodel OR from the kitchen sink or is that totally flowing freely now ?

Daily puppy post so help with the stress of life.

kitchen sink is fine. Im sure it was my smoke. Its always me.

Hi, Twist.

SD and SIL came by today. I talked to her when she got home and she said her asthma was bothering her. I assume from my smoke and I just read a post from SIL saying she was at the ER. Great....
Robert is still sneezing a LOT, stuffy from sneezing he says and a slight sinus headache that comes and gos. But he isnt sick. Cant figure that one out. Its been a couple weeks this has been going on.
Sorry about SD, Granny, hope she is okay!
Robert sounds like allergies. Does he take anything for that?

I think Troyer already said, but egg color will depend on whether your EE hens carry one or two genes for blue shells. If she only has one gene, odds are 50% of her pullet chicks will lay brown eggs.
If you have a choice, try to pick eggs with the deepest blue coloring for hatching. 2 genes mean more pigment in the shells, and a guarantee that your pullets will carry at least one blue gene. You could expect mostly green to kahki colored eggs from the pullets.
Thanks, Wishing. Yes, he did, and I (sorta) understand. Chicken genetics are very complex and ... um ... I don't follow them very well. I'll just have to "hide and watch," lol, and see what we get. It's not science for me, it's more like baking experimental cookies. Especially since I have no idea which EE in my hen house lays what color egg, exactly. I'd like to get some CCL's so I have some REALLY blue eggs, and go from there! We'll see how this first hatch goes ...
