Sooo, I have a slight problem. I ordered new chick food for my 3 amberlink chicks but it is shipping kind of late. It’s going to arrive tomorrow but I already almost ran out of food, for the rest of today and a part of tomorrow do you think that some oatmeal and scrambled eggs in their remaining feed will work?

Egg yes. I would skip the oatmeal unless you have grit for them.

Depending on how big they are, you might want to chop the oatmeal into smaller bits. Chopped greens would be good for them too. Kale is a favorite of my chickens.

Exactly! Definitely a God thing. I've waited years for just the right cat in the past! And this cat has waited a long time for a new home. They were afraid they were going to have to put her down. But we'll take good care of her.

Just moved the chicks into a larger cage! I think they approve!
Does anyone have any suggestions of things to add for entertainment?

Depending on how big they are, you might want to chop the oatmeal into smaller bits. Chopped greens would be good for them too. Kale is a favorite of my chickens.

Ok thanks! They are about 2 months old right now. I think i’ll add some kale and chop up the oatmeal a bit.

Kale leaves or cabbage, bugs. They are plenty big enough to expand their diet. Just make sure they get the grit or they won't be able to digest the new foods.
Maybe a pan of clean dirt or sand for them to take a dirt bath.

Thank you ! I will totally make them a little dust bath, when I take them outside (supervised) they love taking dust baths in the dirt! Thanks on the food ideas, they are eating eggs and kale right now with girt!
