Do you know any Hebrew?

Working on it, though the hebrew used in service is different than the modern one. Reform uses a Transliterated siddur, which means the hebrew pronunciation is written in english beside hebrew text and full translated into english. Reform services are mix of hebrew and english often accompanied with a piano. Conservative is no piano more a balance of hebrew and english or almost fully hebrew and Orthodox is 100% in hebrew and again no piano.

Personally my level goal of observance is Conservative but I don't live near a conservative synagogue. I am lucky the one I am attending has a more traditional morning service on Saturday which I prefer.

To convert to any branch of Judaism requires you to be active in your community (I am long distance so Zoom is my friend. I try to attend in person at least once a month as I relay on my parents to drive me), pass a Beit Din and be dipped in a Mikvah.

Typically reform will recognize converts from all branches but the other branches won't recognize reform converts. Orthodox only recognize Orthodox converts (and even then if you converted thirty years ago some now will say your conversion was too lenient), conservative some recognize reform converts but Typically ask you to reconvert to their standards which I respect tbh.

Reform and Conservative accept interfaith families, Orthodox does not.

Visit to Urgent Care this am was... wise, and profitable. I am negative for Covid (yay! And thank You, Jesus!), but positive for bronchitis, ugh. They ordered me a Z-pack and six days of a tapering dose of prednisolone, plus I am to take Mucinex 2x/daily till better. I'll soon be on the mend!

glad it’s not Covid. I still can’t believe I haven’t gotten Covid once! Perhaps I’m one of those asymptomatic people. That or I’m invincible
