He had a bad day today. He got up too early for the nurse then was very nervous while she was here. Kept asking me what kind of paper work I had to do.
Nurse said this was mostly for giving Tom a shower then asked about a DNR. Wanted Tom to sign it so long story short I run her off. Tom said he thought I was trying to put him in a nursing home! Poor guy was shaking like a leaf. I feel terrible for him. I asked him why would he think such a thing? No answer.

Help me in my ignorance, what is a DNR?

Poor Tom. Was the nurse pushing for a DNR, not just asking your preference? Not from hospice, was she?

She was from where Nancy works I think. At least thats how it started. She was disapproving of what I was saying to her. It just showed on her face. She didnt say thats a bad idea or anything like that but I have talked to Tom about it a couple years ago and he wanted life saving measures .

She was insisting he sign the form however. Saying that he DID want to be resuscitated.

Doesn't take you half a minute to sum up a person. It would be nice for you guys to have someone to help that you aren't offended by. Can they send someone else? You need someone like Nancy.
