Granny's gone and done it again

What happened to their mother?
Mama just, ditched them. No mothering instinct at all.

In part our fault because we never got proper housing out there and didn't seem like the boar had interested in her (we did try to keep them separated but they tore down fencing)

Was gonna sell them for butcher anyway but wasn't wanting to have this.

Yeah. Was Nancy in with you. The IV relaxing stuff doesn’t work well when you take opiates daily. I think they need to knock you out. The dr said you didn’t have any blockage in your legs? How strange.
she stayed with me til they took me back then they run her off. Said they would call her when I was done. I dont think they even looked at my legs.

I never wanted to breed hogs but mom got a pet pot belly then decided a couple of kune kune boars and then... yeah.

I hated hogs even before converting after showing them for two years. Dad couldn't bribe me Enough for my last year.
I did one year with show hogs. They are fun but soooo hard not to get attached to. I visited mine at least three times a day, often more. If it weren’t for the auction, I would probably do it again. But yeah, it’s a lot of work. Don’t do it if you’re not interested. My brother signed up for it but his pig never even made weight. he wasn’t very passionate abt it

I had no issues about attachment, first year hurt though because they forced us to sell post show because of hog flu and we got paid like 50 cent per pound :hmm alot of the good ol friend bull there.

I don't like the chaos of hog showing and knowing how viscous they can be I just don't like emm

snowed even more this morning

this was the view from my window…had to rub my eyes a few times just to make sure I was seeing straight

it’s pretty. I wouldn’t mind a few snow days a year

have you ever shown anything else?

The week leading up to show day was probably the most memorable. Farm people are generally pretty friendly/talkative. I enjoyed the show ring. It was stressful, but I like a little bit of stress. Keeps me focused

Yup, my main project was dairy goats, but did beef cattle, rabbit, chickens and some horse stuff.

I miss the show experience but gotta shift which animals I show for health.
