Granny's gone and done it again

Six hatchlings now. :weeAnd we're going to bed, so no news now till morning.

We didn't get any supplemental thermometers or hygrometers. Just trusted the on-board instrumentation of the incubator. It's a Little Giant 11300 styrofoam, holds 41 eggs. For about the first 15 days we had it on about 48% humidity, but then discovered that it's not accurate below 60% so we bumped it up to 65%. And we had it at 101.5°F. after the first few days, although we started out at 99.5. Took us a bit to figure out how to turn it up. So these eggs hatched in spite of us, rather than because of anything we did!

Probably all BS reasons. They seem to thrive on drama.
Hi Pert!
I think a lot of it is the result of 3 yrs of worldwide covid. Companies and other businesses shut down, some never made it back, and we're still feeling the effects. Stupid war doesn't help either. For example, Ukraine used to produce a lot of the world's grains... wheat, barley, and I think corn. They can't produce now, so the slack is either picked up by a new producer or there are shortages.
The politics of war mess with global supply chains too.

I read that if you run out its an emergency and go to an ER.
Yeah. Robert should try to cut waaaaay back on sugar until he gets the insulin.
What would be considered an emergency in his case?
