High energy , just not the The right breed for Robert. Actually i am disappointed the rescue even gave her to you. Your house is not approbate fo her.

Those breeds do a lot of whining. I don’t think you need to worry about her bonding to Robert. You don’t need to be taking care of her. Robert needs to understand how much work a dog is.
You need a more laid back breed. Lhasa Apso or Shih Tzu have been good dogs as pets for us. We enjoyed the Shelties, and Papillons too. The Belgian Sheepdogs were very nice dogs, but a bit reserved. They also found it hot living inside, even during winter.
Especially when they are large, active dogs. Robert doesn't spend much time outside, i don't think.
